Message Management
Emails, advertisements, brochures, commercials, memos, posters, billboards...
...all of us suffer from information overload that limits our ability to focus on the key issues.
For your company to be successful in communicating, you must understand what your audiences want to hear. when they want to hear it, and in what form.
That is message management – creating the strategy and developing the messages that are timely and relevant to your various audiences.
Message Strategies. The strategy is the foundation. It addresses the key target audiences and answers the questions What? Why care? Why act?
Your message strategy makes it easier to deliver the same message across all media including Web sites, publications, brochures, advertisements and presentations. Consistent execution of the same message is a critical factor. To be effective, the message must be included in every communication – written and oral – and used in your Public and Private media.
Message Development. The key tenets of message development are: know your audience, keep it simple, present a solution, and invite your audience to take ownership. A message must explain what is valued and what is at risk, and it must align the audience with others who share their values and concerns.
"Ad Hoc has the unique ability to listen to my ideas and articulate them in a special way. They ask questions, discuss intelligently, and take notes. When I see the messages that they develop, I instantly think, 'That’s what we want to say!' More than 95% of the time, I don’t change a single word."
